This year I led a collaboration for the three Hawaii YWCA associations - Hawaii Island, Kauai and Oahu to join forces for a statewide 2022 Stand Against Racism Challenge.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Stand Against Racism Challenge is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into racial equity and social justice. This year, YWCA will be investigating Critical Race Theory, Living Wage, Film and Television, and Reproductive Justice. Participants will be able to download an app for their phone or visit the challenge website to engage with curated articles, podcasts, videos, activities and more. The SAR Challenge registration went live Monday, February 14th, and the challenge will begin April 4th and continue (Monday –Friday) through May 2nd.
Now more than ever, it is important for everyone to be open to a dialogue to better understand these complex racial and social justice issues that have been gripping our country. Whether this is your first move towards racial equity, or you are an expert, this challenge will increase your knowledge to create change in yourself and your community. By joining the Stand Against Racism Challenge, you will be learning, and you’ll become better prepared to develop social awareness and empathy which are vital for people to build social connections with others.

Donor Stewardship
I have been able to forge long standing relationships with prospects and donors to create authentic and meaningful relationships to deepen engagement and benefit a variety of organizations and our community.
The image to the left is from a 2018 donor stewardship trip with 32 museum patrons I co-lead with Honolulu Museum Director, Sean O'Harrow, Ph.D., to visit uniquely curated art and culture experiences in France and Spain over ten days.
I created a professional 85-page trip remembrance photo book for each traveler. The trip deepened attendees’ affinity for the museum maximizing member retention and donations.

2021 YWCA Oahu LeaderLuncheon Television Fundraising Program
Due to COVID-19 YWCA Oahu could not hold the major annual fundraiser at the Sheraton Waikiki. I explored options and worked with Hawaii News Now on negotiating a paid on-air fundraiser. Featuring local KGMB news anchor Grace Lee, I secured paid sponsorships, donations and wrote and produced YWCA Oahu's first one hour primetime television program.
